In the park they found a huge pine tree, it's enormous branches reaching up to the sky and out to the park around, sweeping the floor, providing a tent for those who step inside (Wanderer pictured for scale)...
It's needles were soft but prickly to the touch, a beautiful faded green...
...and it's pine cones were tightly packed layers of seeds, waiting for wind and birds and squirrels to send them flying...
The Wanderer found some more seeds, hundreds packed tightly together in one little catcomb, hundreds of these catcombs all over the tree...where are the hundreds of baby trees?
One tree had been struck by lightning, or hit in some way, so the inside of the trunk was partly bare...otherworldly texture of lines and holes, almost subterranean....
And then, after climbing a big and steep hill, climbing over a fence, and striding down the otherside, we found one lone dandelion in the long grass. Hold your breath....
